    • mads

      heh..

Yes, I noticed that mistake too… but you do realize he’s giving a tutorial in a language that isn’t his first… I can’t speak another language (except for the international language of love…of course) and I certainly would struggle trying to teach somebody when I can’t just speak like I do every day…. we are raising an interesting culture of critics…hmm

      • mads

we are alot that dont have english as our “first” or “second” language, and we wherent commenting on that.. Just that he got the name of the site wrong :)

  • ShoZ

Nice tip but dude learn to talk… learn structured talk

  • Ian Jopson

I’m not sure if I’m missing something but i don’t get the point?

    • Ian Jopson

No, what i meant is i don’t know why you would go to the extent of making a tutorial on this,

The effect 32 bit brings to blurs has been documented a lot of times in many tutorials, the only point to repeat it would be to show a different application or end result… when in fact the end result here doesn’t really look anything special. Sorry to be a critic, and full marks for having a go, but its not quite up to the usual standard of the interesting work added to this site

Hey all, If you’re looking for another tutorial on this topic, take a look at this one:

    http://vfxhaiku.com/2009/10/intro-to-32bpc-in-after-effects/

    Thanks!

The point is that it allows lights to stay bright even when adding a blur. That way it resembles more what your eyes would actually see in real life and therefore further sells the effect of the blur. Although in my opinion that is a lot of work for what it does.

At least it comes with a preset and tells you how to make it if you’re not a Premium member of EATuts. Heh sorry couldn’t resist. :-)

    Plagiarism anyone?
Andrew Kramer did this ages ago: http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/earthquake_with_32bpc/

That’s about motion blurs and earthquakes.

This centers more on actual blur, not motioned.

Hi guys, first time making a comment here. New to all things AE and loving the content on this site.
I’d like to thank all tutorial contributers for their time and effort in sharing their creativity, techniques and insight for the benefit of all the community. In the interest of balance it would be helpful if all the armchair critics who readily contribute their considerable ‘expertise’ in these columns share their own work with the rest of us, otherwise shutyerfaces n haudyerwheesht. I’m from Scotland (part of the UK for all the geographically challenged) and english is my first language but you would struggle to understand me so get off the backs of those who contribute here using english as a second language. For all international contributers keep up the great work because I for one really appreciate your contributions. In short folks let’s err on the side of offering support and constructive feedback to one another before mindlessly trashing a fellow enthusiast’s efforts. Slàinte mhòr agad (Good health to you or Cheers!!)

People are complaining about how you talk? They must be deaf, I here you fine; there is an accent, but it sounds like English to me :)

    Nice tutorial.

  • Hugo
