  1. I am extremely sorry to say that you describe “Fusion for AE user”, but never showed any comparison between these two softwares. I opened your earlier first tutorial with great excitement but ended up with great disappointment. Not a single tutorial on the whole web is to make you understand Fusion in AE style. The title is quite deceiving. I am sorry for my harsh words, but this is the fact.

With all do respect. But what the hell is wrong with you, every time some one makes a tut. U say ” yeah will, this one is not good enough or bad bla bla bla”

I mean If i would even rate your tuts, you would not even come close the 2 points… so don’t apologize to the Author..just don’t write these kind of comments.. it so ridiculous

Chandan said quite right. this tutorial series is not for AE users.I am upset. I can find such free tutorials on the net. Why to pay?

  2. Mr. Obvious says:

Not to rain on Luka’s parade, but Fusion is quickly going the way of combustion and shake…that is, a small (i.e. tiny) community of dedicated artists that is quickly being gutted by the Nuke gorilla. AE will always have a place with it’s robust mographics capabilities and very capable compositing tools, but in terms of node based compositors Nuke is eating everyone’s lunch, including Fusion’s.
If you want to learn node based compositing and have a lot of job offers, Nuke is the thing now. and for the record, I hate Nuke….

I think what Chandan is saying is right. But hey I have found another great tut which simplifies the operation to know Fusion for After Effects users. These awesome tuts have been made by Kert Gartner on http://www.vfxhaiku.com.
    http://vfxhaiku.com/2010/05/node-based-compositing-for-after-effects-users-part-2/ and http://vfxhaiku.com/2010/05/node-based-compositing-for-after-effects-users-part-1/

  4. 521 says:

if you want to get a job in compositing you better learn compositing, and have good understanding in Nuke, Fusion, Shake, and others. having just Nuke in your package it’s gonna tag you as Noob. A lot people are jumping in this Nuke bandwagon like it’s going to get you to best VFX studios in the industry.

  5. That is something what I was telling about. http://WWW.VFXHAIKU.COM is a great website for the people migrating from AE to Fusion. I knew about it but just saw it today patiently and its awesome. :)

  6. Sanghmitra says:

@ Luka – Dude, Your preview ate my eagerness to learn Fusion. such a cheap output. :(

@ Raman – Thanks man, for giving me such an useful link of VFXHAIKU.COM :)

@ Chandan – I have seen your several older posts, and the thing is that you are not liked by your comments…somehow. But you are a great critic in my views ,and a very good tut maker also. I liked your MudBox tut a lot, man :)
