What are the tech specs of your imac?
Ohh and good tut…
Thanks for watching :) In this case, I am on a MacPro (3.1). The GPU (Dispaly Card) is really what counts with ShapeShifter AE and FreeForm Pro. For this tutorial, I used the NVIDIA GTX 280. This is one of the best values on the Mac but they are hard to come by right now. I still see some on eBay from time to time.
Hey baby, excellent tuto, I loved the way you explained it.
Congratulations you´re an excellent teacher
Please tell me, how much RAM does your mac have?
@Benjamin
Thanks dude :) My first tut :)
To answer your question, 16 GB on 8 cores but this does not account for the speed. The GPU (Display Card) I am using does. See my explanation on GPU’s in my previous comment to DS

Hey there,
thanks!
Try to smile from time to time!
Helps more then the PreComp-Joke ;)
Thanks, cya!
@ Steven
Joke? Do you mean to say that pre-comping is not part of an intricate plan to world domination ;-)
I thought it was cute :) Nancy keep up the good work … jokes and all :)
Peace
Alexa
@ Steven. Thanks for watching, more smiles in the works :-) :-) :-)
@ Alexa, I kinda like the joke, I mean plan, too ;-)

Is ShapeShifter AE out for Mac? I’m only seeing where you can signup for the demo on the Mettle website…
@Paul + Wes
Yes… for NVIDIA equipped Macs with 512 mb of VRAM or higher. Although we highly recommend 1GB of VRAM or higher. Nancy did this tut on a Mac with a NVIDIA GTX 280. Get in touch with me at chris@mettle.com
Is ShapeShifter finally available for Mac now? If it is, I’m buying it asap

Is your nvidia card aftermarket? We got a newer MacPro with an ATI card in it and are trying to find a decent Mac compatible Nvidia card.
@AJ
We got this one while it was still available through NVIDIA (PNY). Many of our customers tell us that they can still find them on eBay. We also have the GTX 560 (really sweet) + a couple of Quadro’s for the Macand the Quadro 6000 for Windows (awesome) :-)
HTH,

Not interested in your mac though I did really enjoy the tut. Almost got me with the precomping mind control. Everyone knows you have to make a null mind control controller.. Look forward to your future videos!
=)
Michael
@ Michael
LOL almost forgot about the NULL in the recipe ;-) Next time.
Seriously though, thanks for your kind words and thanks for watching.
