    Nice tut, as always…

    • AK says:

Why do people feel the need to say “first”. You’re obviously not the first and now you just look pathetic.

Wonderful tutorial, congrats my friend. I had a question though, about the eyes, couldn’t u set transparency, like the actual mask, couldn’t that be done in photoshop? Not a big photoshoper so correct me if I’m wrong, but could you make holes in the eye layer directly in PS?

    • animatic says:

assuming you mean for the blink? It could be done this way but you would need 4 base head shapes one for each blink. animating a mask is much cleaner.

      p.s. great tut

      • animatic says:

Having re-watched the Tut you’re right! I see no reason why you couldn’t make one eye shaped whole in photoshop. and then have the blinks on top.

sorry for jumping in before. :)

    • A.Hassan says:

I will soon make a tut. on how to make similar characters like the ones he has. they will me on youtube in around 2 weeks.

  7. A.Hassan says:

    hello,

this is such a great series… but there is one problem… it will be the greatest if you show how you created the character in what ever program you used, either Photoshop or illustrator.

    thanx a ton

  8. Hi Daniel!
I just watched all of these videos, and I must say this tutorial series is pure gold. Thank you so much for sharing your process, and for doing it so clearly. Even though I don’t understand how you did some of the things involving code yet, I look forward to coming back here again and again until I do! You’re kind of my hero right now. I want to be just like you when I grow up :)
    Cheers!
    Amelia
