Final Product What You'll Be Creating

I created this tutorial inspired from this music video… today, we’ll create a similar high tech floating interface tracked to a DVD disk. First, we’re going to take a quick look at tracking with mocha for After Effects. After that take an in depth look at shape layers and modifiers for them. Finally animate all the menus and add some color correction and lens flares to make everything look nice and futuristic.

    in my case, ive tracked the background inverted for the 3d-camera and animated the moving objects only with normal linear/Ease keyframes.

    For those of you who are asking for the sound effects I used various sound effects from different sound packs. Some of the effects are from Designer sound FX and Pro scores which are products from videocopilot.

    What were the specific sound files from Proscores and Designer Sound FX? I own both and can’t figure it out.

      I don’t remember the exact files which I used. Just took a couple and put them together with the video. I used also sound fx from other stock packs. Just did it real quick for the preview purpose. Pick some hi tech sounds that you like and start building your project.

      Because I’m lazy to install windows 7. You know it’s a bit boring.. installing all those drivers, programs, plugins etc.. takes 4-5 hours for everything that’s the main reason :)

        No it means that I’m lazy to install the new windows and at the moment I have too much work to update the OS as well as I don’t have money to buy this new windows. I prefer to buy a new workstation and get the windows bundled with the computer this way it will be way more cheaper.

        Actually the Upgrade XP > 7 will be less… but this you will know if you are buying indeed softwares :)

        If you want to make 30 bucks from Windows bundle – I suspect you would not buy software bundle that costs more than hundred times more :)

        Be realistic and don’t lie to the community :P
