Final Product What You'll Be Creating

This tutorial will cover how to set up Rorschach mask with tracking markers. These markers can then be used to generate a basic piece of geometry which will be tracked to the subjects face. Once tracked, a fractal noise “inkblot” can be UV mapped to the geometry. The last step will involve cleaning up the tracking markers for the final composite.

Woah, it didn’t look like a lot in the movie, but from this, it sure did. Very nice tutorial!

I read somewhere that the speed of the ink was varying with Rorschach’s mood, so if he was stressed the ink moved fast, calm – the ink moved slowly.

Anyways, very nice tutorial! If I had Maya and such I’d be sure to give this a try!

Hey, Thank you for the tut. It’s all great but i’m having a problem upon trying to apply the texture to the face-mesh. It comes up saying: ‘Error: Unable to load the image file’

I’ve tried exporting it as different file types, changing the sequence name and have spent hours looking on google but to no avail.

Please if you could respond I would be on your debt.

    Thanks

    -Roboman ^_^
