The best way to achieve an indoor day for night shot is obviously to not shoot with a big window in your shot. I was recently asked to make a daytime shot appear as though it was a night scene. Today I’ll walk through how I approached this by creating a clean plate, inverting and color correcting a bit, and then just jumping in with a bit of roto work.

    sweet, this was actually a pretty useful watch. The thing at the end about going to the least complicated parts first makes a lot of sense and I will be using that on my next roto project :)

    i mean this is a great idea, but kinda looks stupid you can see a hotspot on his forehead, but ofc you could fix that with some simple motion tracking but still.
