Final Product What You'll Be Creating

This tutorial is based on the Hyundai i45 tv commercial. The effect is rain falling in the shape of various designs, onto a vehichle. The tvc uses a real-world rain rig with a computer driven water delivery system, however we will be showing you how to create the same effect using only After Effects and Particular.

    may the tutorial itself would>
    lets see

  2. jink says:

It certainly doesn’t look realistic but a valiant effort indeed

  3. Max says:

This is actually a realistic reproduction of the actual ad on Australian televisiion, maybe apart from the splash off the car roof. Great effort.

  4. frankyframe says:

in my oppinion , it looks realistic!!!!!

Nice! I recognized the effect immediately, these are really cool moving sculpture/industrial design things that were popular a few years ago.

    here’s a vid.

    Great tutorial! Thanks.

  7. Rami says:

looks cool just add some flicker to the overhead lights and animate the lights lighting up (with some stagger) … also some more tracking with the camera

    and your good to go.

when I 1st looked at it, I thought it was bad, but looking at the video link that Mars put up, it not that bad, its quite a good idea.

    So thumbs up m8!

Please people, lets cut out the unnecessary chatter on these tutorials! Takes 5 solid minutes before he actually begins his tutorial with a trt over an hour. It doesn’t take that long to read the particular 2.0 user documentation and help guide.

I definitely do not agree with this comment. The instructor, who I think did a fantastic job, was simply taking the time to explain what he will be covering and offering some background of the effect. We don’t all like to learn by being told to “click here”, “add this effect there”… Some people appreciate a more detailed process.

There seems to be a real negitive culture creeping into this site. You seem to forget that these tutorials are free. Have you ever heard the term “Never look a gift horse in the mouth”. If not, Google it and you might understand my anoyance.

Keep em coming Dave and don’t change a thing…

If you don’t like the unnecessary chatter, there is a technology called “fast forward” button. Do you know how many people hate written tutorials? I don’t know about you but I would rather watch his “unnecessary chatter” than reading the documentation. LOL.

      Great work! Thanks a bunch!
