It starts from the ground up and then joins the clouds (I’ll remember that the next time I see a funnel cloud…on the ground)….and the wind seems to be making ONE tree blow. I mean….ya know….just pointing out the obvious….

  7. Sam Loya says:

    This is just Amazing

  17. Richard says:

Gotta say that the most interesting part is the rack focus. The elemental effects just aren’t convincing especially with the dead calm of the other trees, etc. But, hey, thanks for using AE native plugins only. I do appreciate that.

  18. It is definitely true, it gets less convincing when just ONE tree is moving, but if I had to animate all of them the tut would have been even longer for no reason. The idea of a tut is to provide a method, and it would be great to see how people applies it to all the trees in the comp ;)

Thanks for all the comments, the positive and the constructive ones :)

  19. Guys, this is just a FREE TUTORIAL. Don’t expect to see Hollywood like vfx wich would take weeks to accomplish on a FREE TUTORIAL.

  20. Jan Waage says:

Word. Looks like some useful techniques were used. tHANKS!

  21. pleasure says:

I can’t fint the “funnel” in the animation presets in the CC Particle World Plugin that says this tutorial… I can’t convert the “smoke” option, help me!
    Great tutorial!

    • Author

Well, in the video tutorial I use the presets for speeding purposes, but you will have to copy all the settings provided in the “Funnel” picture below the tut in your CC Particle World effect. And the same with the others.
When you are done, you can save them as a preset ; )

      Hope it helps!

  22. shelly says:

there is no option coming in animation preset
not even funnel is coming or any other solid
