3D Paper Crumple with Freeform AE

Sep 14th in VFX by Rob Birnholz

Next time you get a frustrating assignment that you didn't ask for, don't crumple it up and throw it at your boss's face. Now you can easily call it quits within After Effects! Rob uses the example of creating a paper crumple transition to show off the Digieffects plugin Freeform AE. Who knows... this tutorial might just save your job.

The link to the free trial of freeform AE goes nowhere. Says “404 Error: Page not found” Just me?

    Gotta link that works?

I like your presentation skills and editing, but the tutorials effect isn’t all that exciting. You do a good job teaching people how to use this plug-in, but I thought AE tuts paid for effects. The Cow does more tutorials on how to use effects.

If AE tuts is now paying for tutorials on how to use effects, I’ll do one.

Knowledge-boosting tutorial here… The screen-shots do tell you the story… the final result looks like something right out of a big-banner game.
