Final Product What You'll Be Creating

We’re going to recreate the original camera from a shaky camcorder shot and make a building to line up with the one in the source plate. Using thinking particles and volume breaker to simulate it collapsing, we’ll camera map it and export the sequence for the 2nd part of this tutorial where we’ll integrate our render.

Too fast, not enough explanation of what he`s doing….

Someone should do a tutorial on editing and exporting videos with the correct settings.
The ghosting and frame blending in preview video are clear artifacts of a poor workflow…

This site is called “aetuts” and you do the tutorials that require softwere completely different.

    I have not 3dstudio max

Loved it! loved the challenge but could’ve had him explain a tad more. I get that we should evolve from what he’s doing but a walk through would help so he could build/learn off it. Overall, great though!

I’m afraid you’re going too fast like you assume the people watching this already know 3DS. I’m an experienced AE compositor, but I can’t find my way in 3DS. So you might want to slow it down, explain each step, that would mean more tutorials, but over all a better understanding of the technique. A good effort, though.

E bine de vazut ca sunt si romani pe aici. Draguta reclama la Citybank. :D

since the majority of the tutorials on here are done with a mac, not many people here can even accomplishe this so why post a tutorial. this would be great if it was cinema 4d but good anyway

For those of you who are complaining about 3ds max: LEARN IT! To grow and develop as an experienced compositor and editor, you will need more tools than just one! I would bet more than 50% of the aetuts population integrate photoshop and premiere/final cut into our workflows… If you don’t want to learn 3ds max, don’t discourage aetuts or the creator. They are free resources to the public, and knowledge like this for free is a gift, whether it’s the knowledge your’re looking for or not.

Just as a successful painter uses different mediums and utensils to paint, so does a successful compositor.
