Final Product What You'll Be Creating

This entry is part 1 of 2 in the series Grassy Butterfly Scene

Hey guys, We’ve got a nice one for you today…. yes, another. We will be creating a “non-realistic-semi-fantasy-looking-3d” butterfly from an insect point of view, but the main focus in this tutorial will be more on the final composition of all the different parts… how to get the final look.

How do I convert the timelapse corn growing .jpg files into a movie sequence?

You don’t need to convert it for this tutorial purposes, all you need to do is mark one of the sequence pictures and make sure you check “JPG sequence ” when you import.

How ever you can import the sequence and render it out, but again, you dont need to do that for this tutorial purposes.

Ran loved your tutorial, follow it to the letter. I went to render the comp and I’m getting a 56 hr render time. with 4 core, 16g ram and 3.1 processor. Did I do something crazy or is that the approx rendering time?

Thanks again for one awesome tutorial!! :-)
