Final Product What You'll Be Creating

In this tutorial we’ll combine basic shapes to make a camera silloutte in Photoshop before bringing it over to After Effects. We’ll learn how to directly select font layers in combination w/ the paths tool to create unique shadows and pick up on some short cuts here and there. We’ll also be, please don’t hate me, making a small sacrifice doing some folder organizing to better help control our creative chaos. But hey, I don’t think anyone truly enjoys losing track of files so lets try and put an end to most of that… This way we can get back to the more important things in life…. Have fun!

      This is a beginner’s tutorial. Its mentioned above. Check before you comment. Even i have done this mistake earlier of laughing at a tutorial. But later thought it will be useful for someone out there. Its not fair to do that.

    Tutorials like these make me think my (facetious) idea of showing how to animate a stick figure with the puppet tool is actually a money-maker! LOL!

    Seriously, I should do it. Otherwise someone else will and they’ll bill it as “it’s a beginnger’s tutorial” and they’ll make the money I should have made.

        Lyndon….don’t come up with a pathetically basic tutorial and be surprised that people criticize it. This tutorial is BY FAR the most basic thing I have seen. There are more complicated youtube tutorials. Good grief!

        I laugh everytime I see a reply like yours. Here’s the flat out truth….I don’t have ANY desire to make tutorials….NONE. I don’t need the money, nor do I have the time to create a tutorial. I “talk” because this once-great site is now a mecca for the beginner. If you think I’m the only one pointing out this very “basic” fact, you are blind and have not been reading the comments in just about every single tutorial.

        You like coming up with tutorials, apparently. Try to create something that a 14-year-old kid who has had after effects for a week couldn’t do. That’d be refreshing. Until you do, be ready to have me point out the obvious.

    You guys “complaining” about the tutorials for “noobs” are just like people complaining about tv shows. Its simple. Dont like it,dont watch it.
    You act like you work for ILM ,Weta Digital,or some other Digital Powerhouse,you morons.
    Heck you probably couldnt get a job at ILM as a janitor. You werent born with after effects. Youre just pissed someone got the cash and you didnt.
