Tutorial Details
  • Requirements: Just After Effects... enjoy!

This is just a short tip on how to get your text to look kinda rubbery as it bounces in. You can download the animation preset below that I created below and apply it to your text by highlighting some text and under Animation > Apply Animation Preset opening the AEtuts_Bouncy.ffx file. CS5 preset only for now… Enjoy!

    Nice tip, -

but still wandering why AEtuts keep using that horrible horrible videoplayer, it has been mentioned over & over, so do something about that.

A few reasons… though blip’s playback has been known to not always be 100% amazing… it allows us as a site to do a few things that other video hosts don’t do as well… tracking traffic, ad revenue, scheduled postings, multiple format direct downloads… I’m sorry if you’re having trouble with the play, I recommend just downloading the tut file and watching it off your computer.

My only problem with the tutorial is that with headphones on, I’m only getting audio in the left ear. Call me crazy but It’s really tough to watch with only one ear playing audio for me.

I think something is wrong with the sound. You are muffled and I am unable to understand you. This is the first time this has happened here. Unless it is on my end…but I doubt it…all other tuts sound fine. Thanks for all your efforts.

I agree with you I can’t hear a thing except one word that is repeated over and over again and that word is kill kill kill kill. It’s the only word I hear and he is screaming it made me a little bit scared but then I started to like it. It really must be something strange with aetuts today.

Add a Scale Animator to your text layer, set the Scale value to zero percent, add an Expression Selector, (you can then delete the Range Selector), and finally, replace the default expression of the Expression Selector’s Amount property with this…. etc

    Hope it will be useful
