Have you ever been way up north and seen those amazing northern lights? If your answer is no (or even yes for that matter…) – this is a tutorial for you. We gonna learn how to create a cool looking aurora borealis effect using Trapcode Particular and Magic Bullet Looks so you have an extra chance to see this wonder of nature.

    Nicely produced tut. As to the effect, I think I’d try placing the emitted particles slightly off screen, and also varying the velocity of the particles as they move across the screen. Kudos, and thanks!

    Final version looks great! Magic Bullet adds a lot. And yeah, well done tutorial. Some thoughts:

    1) Was kind of disappointed that the final northern light wasn’t 3D aware… would’ve loved to be able to fly around/through those particles!

    2) Please don’t forget to include a preview video for us guys in a rush! Even if this was a quick tutorial something that shows the final effect immediately is still valuable so we can decide easily if it’s a tutorial we need to see!
