This entry is part 2 of 2 in the series Pipboy Touch Screen

In Day 2 we’ll finish up the building of the pipboy screens. Then we’ll talk about how were going to transition between the first and second screen. We’ll animate and keyframe the layers. DON’T FORGET MOTION BLUR!!! Once we finally build the 2 screens and animate them, we’ll add some final detail to the screens like noise and grunge. And finally we’ll motion track the screen onto our live action footage. Thanks for watching guys.

    Some tip:
    Rotoscoping + tracking is always tedious, so it is no surprise that you quickly went over it. But therer is a much faster way to do it:

    If you use the Mocha tracker (that is also included in CS4/CS5) + MochaImport, tracking becomes much easier. Using Mocha, you can also speed up the rotoscoping of the finger using the technique shown in this tutorial:

    your text is weird becouse u must change set baseline shift to 0 in characters tab
    just below verticaly scale

    Really great tutorial. The final product looks amazing!

    One thing though, you could’ve saved so much time when doing the increments if you used the ruler. Just press R and the ruler comes and you can bring down lines to help you out. Then I just did the calculations and set the lines where I needed them to be and everything just snapped into place.
