    Good job !

  • Jan

    thanks for the tut,
but you could have used some better colors.
Everything looks the same fuzzy brown.
Why not a blue ramp for the water instead of another brown?

    anyhow, nice job !

    • Nathan

because the brown is kinda a safari color in africa and makes you think of traveling well it does me

    • Jeff

I’d have said for that kind of “old world map” look. But hey, it’s all just a guideline.

    • http://www.behance.net/kaolti Zsolt

Yea, the colors could have been better, on a low contrast monitor all the colors are more or less the same. Anyway that wasn’t the point of this tut, good work ;)

To get project files and source material you have to become a Plus Member for $9 bucks a month.

      • Nerieru

The .eps isn’t in the project files.

Also when I open it I get this warning message:

“After Effects: this project must be converted from version 8.0×247 (Windows)
and will open as an untitled project. Standard Definition pixel aspect ratios
will be updated for compatibility and improved accuracy. The original file will be unchanged.”

And then I get the warning that 1 file is missing (the worldmap.eps)

        (I do have tutsplus membership)

  • Alvin Yong

Thanks for the tutorial! Can you do a tutorial with Trapcode Particular and the point spread over a globe? I like the tutorial but the color isn’t that good for this tutorial =)

  • Alex

This is an excellent tutor – however my arrow head disappears after I parent it to the null object (arrow ruler). What could be the reason?
