please help me guys!!!, i can´t find “the ramp plugin” in my AE cs3, im in the half tuto…is this a comercial plug in ? or where can i find it??? =S
Go to >window>effects & presets>type ramp in the effects & presets text window (press Ctrl+5 to reveal this window).
Alternatively you can go to effects>generate>ramp. If it’s not there something is wrong with your AE, reinstall.
That version is being used in the video tutorial?

EXCELLENT Tutorial! There was one part I got messed up on and that was getting the transform controls on mask layers to scale independent of the whole comp. But I figured it out.

Amazing tutorial, I just wonder, is there any way you could make the particles into like stringy, electric looking, random sizes… sorry thats a bit vague, something like how solar flares look:

Maybe it’s a permissions issue on your machine. Just double checked from another computer and I am able to download the tutorial without any problems.

My question is can I do this effect with an image as well? I’ve seen a couple of tutorials using Layer Map with text but I haven’t seen any example that uses Layer Map with a non-text map.

LLoyd I have a problem with the little bump as you truck out the camera. I saw you correcting this same problem on the graph editor tweaking the curves,I am trying to keep the camera speed constant,while Keeping the camera path curvy (smooth), But don’t know how to tweak it the way you did on the curve graph editor. Sometimes we get awkward unwanted speed ups on the tweening when we set more than 2 keyframes.
I watched tutorials on keyframe interpolation and tried making speed linear (which is supposed to make speed the same) and spacial interpolation to Bezier. But still get that problem.How do we keep speed constant speed when we animate a more complex camera path?
mine gets really dark at the end for some reason and i dont want it to fade out like that.. but it just does it automatically.. why is that
