I’m a premium member and yet this is another tut I can’t access… yet I can download the project files… just not the actual tutorial. Can someone please fix this?? Yes I`m logged in. It just seems to be a bunch of tuts (maybe 6 or 7) which I can’t access…. the rest are fine.

  20. ash says:

like what you did with form here but i think the effect could be just as achievable using a web created in photoshop couldn’t it? maybe even would cut the render time down too… though i guess this is more of a demonstration as to how diverse the plugin really is!

    • hi ash, thanks for your input, yeah, your absolutely right!
for me, this was the best way, as i am then able to get in really close, macro close, plus get a really nice shallow depth of field from it. also, if i wanted to play around with transitions, i am able to split up the particle strands, put movement into it, the list is endless with what you can do with setting it up this way.
if i was not planning on getting the camera close to the web, for sure, i would have set up the lines in illustrator or photoshop.

    Hey James

I just recently became a premium member on tutsplus, and was following your tutorial…
I hit a snag around 7:50 into the tutorial. Whenever I changed the z position on the camera, all of my web strands positions messed up and they were no longer in the right place. This seems to happen if I move anything to do with the zoom or position of the camera. Any ideas why this might be happening?

    Cheers,
    Lena

    Hey James,

Just wondering what did you use to edit the vocals out of the audio track? did you just have a mp3 of the song to begin with?
