Final Product What You'll Be Creating

In this tutorial we are going to create a fun animation with 3D boxes and end it with a particle logo/text reveal using nothing but After Effects and its default plug-ins. We are also going to use layer space transform to link lens flares to lights. Enjoy!

      Me neither….
      don´t get me wrong, i like AET+ !!
i just don´t get the politics behind the Premium und Non-Premium stuff!

      but hey, keep it up!
      Greetings

Could use some design.. and timing.

What you see here is a teaser. You have to pay if you want to see the whole thing…

    • ryu

A teaser is meant to sell the product, this fails. I love the fact that are people who want to share knowledge but they need to be capable and have something worth sharing. However as i have not done this tutorial i cant really say there is nothing to get from doing it, but it just looks like its not worth my time.

You don’t know what a teaser is.

I agree with what’s been said. I don’t understand why this is premium: there are plenty of other tutorials that explain 3D and lens flares. I’m sorry but I think the quality of this tutorial and final outcome is very low. Thanks for taking the time to make a tut, I know how much time and effort it can take, but maybe you’ll make a better, more advanced one next time :)

    Cheers,
    Hugo.

How is this advanced? You used that box script from aescripts to make those shapes most probably… I don’t get it… I bought premium a while ago and indeed got my money’s worth but there’s nothing premium about this, the sequence in the sample isn’t even timed well…

  • brandon

    lol…

  • jon

Errr. this sounded cooler on the tin… sorry…

I was hoping for 3d boxes that opened…easily done using 3rd party tools but I thought you might have found a cool way to easily build a cube without using ‘PlaneSpace’.

  • xandercorp

Ok… I’ve browsed through the tutorial. I don’t know who made it because I don’t get his English, he either has a cold or just didn’t want to be heard, in any case, I’m addressing the author:

Why would you waste our time with this? Create3DShapes Script – this will create the shapes he did in this tutorial within minutes, the rest or the techniques applied are from other tutorials from the site… Nothing new.

Sometimes I wish internet providers would just take a step back to dial-up so people might actually start giving a damn again about the file sizes. This tutorial is 300 mb and about 45 minutes long… and FOR WHAT?

Seriously, aetuts should stand for something, this is just beneath you. I’ve said this before, do a series on animation, a more advanced one like “Breath of Life”, you haven’t explored principles of animation in full. Do anything that seems interesting, for example ways of implementing Newton in typography… E T C.
