Final Product What You'll Be Creating

We will prepare the 3D model within Cinema4D so it’s ready to export for Element 3D and Trapcode Form 2.0. We will simplify and improve the structure of the model by connecting separated parts together and set up a certain amount of materials, which will be used to style the car within Element 3D later on. We will export several car parts as Wavefront OBJ elements to use it within Trapcode Form later on. Next we’ll show how to stylize the car model within Element 3D by creating, customizing and applying different materials.

Can you explain why you’re using the trapcode form? Why not just duplicate the element layer and use the wireframe look within element 3d?, I mean, sure, you wouldn’t be able to animate it as great, but what you did is really time consuming, overlapping everything manually…

My intention was to build up the basic parts of a 3D car from randomly moving particles. As you said, you cannot animate vertices with Element 3D, so I had to use Trapcode Form. It is a little time consuming, but the only way to achieve a particle build up effect of an obj.

In future, you may want to teach how to use Blender as a preparatory tool for models used in Element as well.
The newest version gives C4D serious competition And thats not even considering its price point. I would not even consider using form given E3D point and wire frame capability.

Thanks for the hint. I never used Blender yet, but I´ve already heard, that it´s a great tool and I will defenitely check it out for future projects.
