ok i need to know why when i do that color and alpha thing my screen just goes black HELP!
great video, i have tried to recreate this a few times but when i create the text strength and add the adjustment layer then the invert and go back to the main comp, there is a white square background. i have no clue what is going on, i have followed the video about 7 times now and even watch it thur and wrote out the tutorial.

Im abit confused on the “pre-compose” that u did for the text at the start of the film Im trying to find it but I just cant seem to find it Im using After Effects CS3 can someone tell me where to find it or a shortcut plz…

Hit Ctrl+ Shift+ C or go to layer pre-compose it’s at the very bottom
I went to the toolbar on the top, and clicked “Compose” and at the bottom was Pre-Compose. Not too sure if it works the same with CS3 though.

But this thing help me a lot, I felt as if I was in a hole, because a girl asked me to make a few logos for our studio and this looks perfect with voice and sound effects =)

I think I must have done something wrong. When I add the camera, 35 mm, my partical fom disappears. Turn the camera off the particl form is visable. Any ideas? I am going to start the tutorial again in hopes of the camera works as I get closer to the end. Any sugestions would help.

Using CS5. When I add Text layer beneath Form the text is visible and on tut it is not. Can someone help, what am I doing wrong? Completely new to AE

looked like it would be a great tut but when i change the fractal strength, you dont show how to remove the white box from the inverted text strength precomp
How do you resize the composition after you’ve made it? I tried upscaling it (since all the graphics are made in AE, they will scale), but it just makes the text and the reveal offcentered (with portions of it truncated).
I don’t think you followed proper procedure here when creating this. I’m fairly certain you’re not supposed to have 6 compositions in a single project, but I could be wrong.
Anyway, if there’s a way to scale the whole project, I’d love to know. The ScaleComp.jsx doesn’t work well either.
