There’s many ways to achieve this and most of them require a full 3D application, but in this tutorial we learn how to achieve it all in After Effects using a 3D particle systems and a few smoke and mirrors.

    to get this result you must have After Effects CS5? When I turn my particles in any layer, not the option that appears in the video.

    I’m having that same issue. There is no custom setting when I go to change the particle type. Why is that?
