Final Product What You'll Be Creating

In this tutorial we are going to continue creating the summer morphing animation and will go even further by creating even more complex animations and transformations between the different objects. We are going to see how easy is to use shape layers for this type of animations and how helpful the shape layer modifiers can be in such cases.

This tutorial is a reproduction of the existing animation video “I ♥ Camping App / Promo” produced by Monologue. You can view the original video here: https://vimeo.com/46616230

    Why I’m not premium? :(

    Great tut.

Wish it didnt spend SOooo much time trying to match the original in terms of exact positions, shape timing etc.
Most people want to learn the skill, workflow etc so they can create their own stuff using same techniques not learn how to do it exactly the same pixel for pixel.

A little explanation of what your doing and why your doing it helps heaps.

    All the same thanks.

I agree with voodoo, I bought the Premium membership almost soley because i saw this tutorial. It was great but bringing in the video to “trace” the keyframes and movement really wasn’t what i was looking for … I would have rather had it built from scratch and decisions made on why certain movement and easing made it look so fluid … instead of copying something exactly.

    Thanks though!

      use your imagination.
if you want to tell the a story, think alone on your vector objects you need, make them or bye them and than think about the trasitions and make them.
also you need to choose the right colors.
add sound effects and ther you have a great movie.

    Hi Stefan

Love the work you do but any chance of doing this tut again without having to trace the original.
This was more like copy me copy and trace my previous video !!

Guys like Dan and I bought a membership just to learn how to do this.

Can you do it again with the emphasis on teaching like the other tuts yove done otherwise we may as well just buy a copy of the final video.

Can you do it again for folks who shelled out for a membership just for this.

    Thanks

  • Alon

great tut love all your work , keep doing great tuts!!
    look on this : https://vimeo.com/30402976
how he made it ? ( especially the ship!)

I reckon the Tintin animation was made in Cinema 4D rather than After Effects to do things like the space rocket.

for me this tutorial worked great because i learnd that skills by copying the preview video but now i can make my own stuff and use this technic… So its just a lesson, u learn it and then create something of your own.
