In this tutorial you will learn to create a lower third with a 3d Cubic logo done in just After Effects. The 3D cube logo will be editable and you will be able to change the sides of the cube whenever you want.

    Is it just me or did you forget the motion blur in the sample? It looks rather too simple to be honest, it’s been done in other tutorials that were worth watching. Try using ease and wizz on the text placeholder movement, add a bouncy effect on the text instead of just a type-on effect and make the cube move slightly not just stop. The devil’s in the details. Over all honestly, it’s a shame people aren’t submitting better stuff, like I said, it’s been done before, better.

    “Over all honestly,” I’m a novice to Ae and I appreciate ALL the tuts and the energy that goes into making them. There are several ways to accomplish tasks with most programs, so learning techniques from different artists is always refreshing. I’m sure your suggestions are worth noting as well. The scope of the tutorials is from beginner (as was this one) to advanced. Sooo, sounds like this one was below your level, but just right for me… and that’s the value of a site like this. Sure, this concept has been covered before… but so has burgers and fries. Ever wonder why there are so many burger joints?
