Final Product What You'll Be Creating

Today we’ll look at the animation style of movie “Rise of the Guardians”. We’re going to start with the modeling and how to achieve this unique sandy texture. We will then complete all the styling and compositing the parts together in After Effects.

The actual example of the Rise of the Guardians movie title is just for training purposes and is not to be used in a final project without permission from the original creators.

Ahhhh!!! Man no more cinema 4d, looks like you got hooked into Element lol.. Oh-well i will try to accomplish this in cinema.. And by the way, what happened to dream-works part 2 tutorial will it still come out, and thanks for your tuts their really helpful.. (sorry for the English)

Hi Muyagi, obviously you can achieve this goal in Cinema, but as a type of animation,
I think you can just work only in After effects. Make as you like.
For the second part of dreamworks tutorial, I do not know if I will do it? Joke ;)

  • http://youtube.com/StarfireDigital DIS IS MY NAME I HOPE YOU LIKE IT

Why the robotic voice? Is it because of an accent. If so don’t worry about it! And it would be a lot more helpful if you didn’t use the project files, and started from scratch…

    Thanks,

Yes, ‘Dis’. an amazing final effect but the robotic voice over and terrible translation was so annoying i had to stop it. I’m sure someone in the tuts network could help with the translation :)

And totally, start from scratch, maybe not on the later comps but the first half for sure.

      Hi Digital Starfire,
If my problem is the accent or not, does not concern you.
As I said, these tutorials are for those who already know the basic techniques, and want to learn
more about some specifics. I’m sorry, that you can not to add this project as a free template
      in your youtube page.

      Snotty :(

      • Deshan

Uh, whats with the attitude? The guy didnt ask for the project file, it seems he just had some suggestions for improved teaching. Even said not to worry about your accent.

I like the background but overall its a little dissapointing to view at. However, i think this is really just the first steps to pushes people in the right direction

      Hi Anton,
Exact, the purpose is to give the correct information about how
to obtain almost the same effect.
Obviously you have to consider that it is very important and correct to respect
      the copyright of dreamworks.

      • anton

You only have to consider copy right if you are selling the product …

Anyway the only disappointing i have it was not in C4D sorry i didn’t make that clear, i’d have just like to have seen the cam movement is all.

I like your tuts and i also like it that you take constructive criticism well.
