Sorry but I can’t see why a simple task such as this would need a full tutorial…

Hey, I remenber you that this site is primarily for novice people who want to learn.
      Wait Incpetion v1….

  2. Max says:

The final product looks very nice, but the actual text animation isn’t really anything special, given it’s talking about ‘ how to make a “Prince of Persia” flying logo style” ‘

  3. I agree. It may be useful for beginners but certainly not an “advanced” one.

  4. Stefan says:

The final result loos great! Don’t forget that there are beginners out there who visit this site and it might be very useful for them.

  5. Anatolie says:

Hey, where do you get this voice?
    Very cool tutorial!

  6. M.Puvan says:

Awesome!!!…cant wait to try this ;)..thanks for the tutorial

  7. Benny W says:

Nice end result, I wouldn’t call it advanced but I’m sure plenty of people will get something out of this one.

Keep up the great work ;)

    B.

  8. Kleoboulos says:

    Commentator = Robocop??

  9. Heather says:

    Must everything be advanced?

Nice simple tutorial for beginners that’ll let them make something cool. I see no issues there. :)

  10. FireKDragon says:

acutally,it’s not as good as I thought it would be…whatever, thanks for sharing…

  11. IANH - BR says:

    I expected more ….

    • Sorg says:

Looking at your youtube’s channel, you ever did nothing interesting that can be compared to this tutorial.

      So… stop complaining newbie.

  13. kyle byrne says:

    • M.Puvan says:

Haha agree with you…i really got headache listening to this voice as i was using headphones…and for some moment i stood up from my chair and walked like terminator….

    • Andreas Galster says:

Not funny. Be grateful instead that there is voice software out there so he can make this tutorial for you!

      • M.Puvan says:

In any sense, i`m not saying that this tutorial was not great or what. But i hope the next tut will have a better voice. But this was a nice tutorial too. He said that the tutorial will be continued for inception v1 which i guess will be harder and that`s the tut everyone ( i mean most of them) have been waiting for…..So my comments might help them to improve…and again i`m not trying to protest anything here.

  14. Emanuel says:

    Thanks!

Hace mucho queria crear este titulo pero me di por vencido.

    Very nice!

  15. Kane says:

Wait, this is what we all voted for? I wanted Jonah hex!

If anyyone knows how to make the beveled text like in Jonah Hex, please email me at contact@kanewaltman.com

    It would be helpful!

  16. The voice makes this too unbearable to watch, sorry guys. Plus your preview includes shots that people are probably expecting to learn how to do, and then you only show the simple title reveal. I understand that this is most likely a great tut for beginners… but I find myself visiting this site less and less every week.

  17. Ramzes says:

Great teacher and great tutorial!A lot of Technics to learn. Thank you so much for sharing.

  18. Daniel says:

I really hate this player. guys just use YouTube for everything, please

  19. Daniel B says:

Seriously, this tutorial was great. Some people may be right, the task of the tutorial doesnt seem to be that difficult. But I think that is not the point, which makes the tutorial so good. The interesting thing come with the actual settings used here. This guy used so many small tweaks to make it actually look sexy, and i dont think that many people from the comment section (who are currently claiming around) would be able to make it look better.

  20. Chris Slowik says:

Gonna watch this and maybe im wrong but..

I’m pretty disappointed that this is the one picked. Out of all the titles I think its the simplest end result to achieve.

Make 3d flying text (of which there are multiple tutorials already on cgtuts)
    Render with alpha.
    Bring footage into AE
Add moving cloud background, and color correct
    Add lens flares
    Color Correct
    Win.

There, done.. cmon guys, do one of the more interesting titles. Actually.. maybe ill just look into the submission process instead of complaining =]

  21. Tuts World says:

    Awesome tutorial, Thanks.

  22. ISAIAS says:

I was expecting INCEPTION not this, it’s a good tut, but everyone with a basic knowledge of ae can do it I don’t know why the need of a full tut but at least we got something and have to thank aetuts for this so Thank you!….but seriouslu INCEPTION!

  23. Chris Slowik says:

    http://ae.tutsplus.com/tutorials/motion-graphics/recreate-your-own-tron-title-opener-cg-part/

How many times are you going to do the same tutorial?
Just because its a different color scheme and different logo doesn’t make it a different tutorial.

Also, if you’re going to use a computer voice, you HAVE to make sure to proof it. Since you’re using european number formats with an american english voice, when you have things like “-122,689″ it pronounces it like “one hundred twenty two thousand six hundred eighty nine”, when you really mean “one hundred twenty two POINT six eighty nine”.

As a plus member, I expect a certain level of professionalism and quality in the tutorials available.. that IS after all, why I became a paid member – I was impressed with the tutorials. However, when you just repeat the same content and have mistakes… it really makes me reconsider my subscription.

  24. DBXMe2 says:

Oh no Skynet has finally taken over!

  25. uio says:

great tut! Can you make a tutorial for ‘HOW TO COMPRESS A CLIP!’ next time? Thank you very much!
All the stuff here are great but the file size is simply ridiculous, please consider someone’s under very restricted internet option.
The guy from ‘V**** COPI***’ for example, his tuts are around 25 mins and the file size is like 60mb or something and the quality? yeap very watchable indeed.

    • Antonio Cerri says:
      Author

It is not necessary to create a Tuts to compress video files, because:
If you make a video about 25 minutes, resolution format 1024×768,
VP6 TrueMotion compression (FLV Flash video), get a file of about from 60 to 80 MB.
If you make a video of 52 minutes, resolution format 1440×900, with compression VP6 or H.264,
get a file from 350 to 450 MB.

  26. pals says:

it ‘ is very nice thinking.

  27. Nice! but if you want to see more advanced tutorial on Hollywood movie like Transformers then check this out:
    http://maxafter.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=35&Itemid=57

    • Antonio Cerri says:
      Author

      Sorry James,
the Transformer movie title, has already been achieved in February 2010
      by Alexander Alexandrov.
      http://www.amateurmedia.net/transformers-titles-in-cinema-4d/
The final result is better than MaxAfter. ;)

      • Abojung says:

gross, how can u say that Maxafter’s transformers title is bad. jeez, and about who achieved what first, thats just dumb and retarded. James was only leading other guys towards an advanced tutoral( this one being beginner). Being an artist, respect other artists.
And for the final note, amateurmedia did make some decents tuts, but its sole purpose was to advertise its site, now go back there and you wont find any new tutroials, almost a year, but go to maxafter, yes you shall find something to learn. Cheers!

      • Author

Hey! quiet!, no need to be aggressive! You may prefer work maxafter, but you must respect others opinions.

      • Antonio.
please look closely Amateur media transformers tut is from Transformers 2!!!while maxafter’s is Transformers1 or from 1st episode and both animations are completely different. see below at the end please:
        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ItK90yvA44

      • Abojung says:

        “QUIET”…..OH PLZZZZZZ

as an author of this tutorial, you are one mean a**, looks like you’re new here, get used to it son, you’re gonna need it. And by the way, i did go through your other tutorials, SAME STYLE! others have already given their comments regarding that so, TAKE A CHILL PILL( i know its all CAPS) yuck!

  28. Antonio Cerri says:
    Author

Thank you for all your comments, I really appreciated them.

  29. Derrick van Niekerk says:

Guys, I love this site, and it usually gives good stuff. The end results in this is great, and it shows that it is not so complicated to create something that looks that good BUT…

I Feel this was more of a a walkthru than a tutorial, a recipe. The author does not explain why he does what he does, just do this, and then this and then ….

My opinion, still love the site, just thought I’d mention this.

    thanks,
    Derrick

    • Author

As you know, most of the tutorials that have been made, have a duration of 25-30 minutes, of course you can also give extra explanations.
If I were to dwell on step by step, you significantly time increase the length of the tutorial and thus the MB weight of the video.

  30. inlifethrill says:

I dont see why should all be done in the most difficult way.. like the cloulds background at the end.. could it be more complicated? What’s with the numbers precision – 145.1232354234234234 in period.. Anyhow, great work it is, no doubt about it. The irritating factors took advantege on me.

    KInd regards,
    inlife

  31. Malte says:

Amazing tutorial man.. Had a hard time understanding what “you” said sometimes, but you didn’t rush it on screen so it was easy enough to follow. :)

    Here’s my version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcEWzTwPR5s

  32. Adam says:

What about the fire tornado that is in the first seconds of the preview? Do you plan a tutorial about this? I think that many people voted for this to see how this can be done too.

    • Author

The fire tornado is a scene from the film, and is not part of the flying logo. I’ve used for the Aetuts flying logo. However, it is a good idea for my next tutorial.
      Thanks ;)

  33. nur says:

    awesome tutorial

  34. Vidok says:

probleme with the video tutorial, I’ve downloaded it, but it’s stay freeze after a few minute of playing, somebody get the same probleme…?

  35. alif felipe says:

I wonder if you guys could create a tutorial with the introduction of the logo warner bros harry potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 thanks

  36. Brent says:
