Today we’ll be looking at the animation style of movie The Cabin In The Woods. Though this is a very simple tutorial, we’ll cover some interesting design elements like how to create the animated hive hexagon textured background. To obtain a dark “horror” title, the font and style choice have to be just right and that’s what we’ll be looking at.

At the end of this tutorial, you can learn how to draw and animate your own title with this dark style using only After Effects. The actual example of the Cabin in the Woods movie title is just for training purposes and is not to be used in a final project without permission from the original creators.
