Final Product What You'll Be Creating

Today we’re going to be looking at the animation style from movie “7500“. This tutorial proves that isn’t always necessary to use 3d text to obtain a good final effect. It takes good ideas and a keen eye for graphics elements and background choice. At the end of this tutorial you can learn how to draw and animate your own title with this dark style only with the using of After Effects. The actual example of the 7500 movie title is just for training purposes and is not to be used in a final project without permission from the original creators.

I’m buying. But the clouds with disabilities?

  • SH

I actually designed the original title for the 7500 teaser. Imitation is absolutely the highest form of flattery and it’s very cool to see a tutorial about it up on this site – a site that I use for inspiration quite a bit myself! But, from skimming the tutorial, it looks like you’re using the version of AEP we sent out to vendors to international-ize the title for other languages. Project files like this are reduced to a minimum number of layers and effects so that other vendors just have to change the text precomps and not worry too much about hunting down plug-in’s they may not have. That’s why the cloudy BG is a single video file – we sent it out simplified. Originally it was a combination of Action Essentials and Trapcode shine sourced from a fractal noise layer for those interested. All this to say – while I’m flattered that you like the effect and want to do a tutorial about it, it’s a little odd to pass off the project as your own, and you run the risk of violating various copyrights and non-disclosure agreements. In the future, it might be a smarter move to build your own project from the ground up.

Wow, I remember when I first saw this trailer I tried hunting down who created the titles because they were perfect for a project I was working on. I ended up sending an email to the editor, who never wrote back…

Cool to know that you created them! I really liked the look, well done! Let me know if you want to email, I’d love to see some of your other work (not hiring, just interested in a fellow artist :)

      Thank you SH,
I’m really flattered. But you have not listened well to the tutorial. I respect the work of the studios.
Infact, precisely for to preserve the value and integrity of the work, I think it is right and proper to give the video with the watermark in the tuts. The tutorial must show how it’s made, no give the project files that some also use for personal use. For what there is already Videohive.
Anyway, I have no problem to displaying everything from scratch, but in this case, in my opinion,
the basis of clouds is simple for the standard of the AEtuts site, Without offend anyone.

why do you sound like that? it always makes me sleepy. Why don’t you talk like you would talk with your friends.
Apart from the way you sound in your tutorials, you are great. Very Precise and well managed tutorials.

It’s a computer talking, not a real person. If you want to see proof try just searching for it. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=text+to+speech

I’m sorry for you Owen, but I’m real. ;)

        It’s pretty obvious that you’re using text-to-speech.
