Thank you VERY MUCH for this plugin! Blender is a great software and is completely free. Hope there will be more stuff like this, linking AE with a free 3D app – Blender, etc.
where is it possible to watch a demo about how useful it is ?
Hi. If you click on the “Download” link you’ll find a 20-minute video tutorial on how to use the plugin plus full instructions on how to install it. The latest update of the plugin can be found at my site: http://www.preta3d.com
Where is it possible to watch what’s possible to do thanks to this plugin ?
Seems useful !
Thanks by the way
Great!!! I also love your Blender Survival Guide Tuts! Can’t wait for the 4th one.
Grazie mille :)
Thank you Giovanni, very much appreciated
First, thanks for this great tool, I’ve been looked for something like this, and I finally found!
So, I followed the instructions with the .zip file, and installed in my Blender 2.49 version. Then, I took a scene that I created with simple objects, a sun light and a camera, and finally tagged all the elements with the .GFX, like was mentioned in the instructions. But, when I try to export the scene, I got a message that tells me that there is no camera tagged. I’m doing something wrong?
Sorry, the right tag is .MGX, not .GFX! :)
Thanks for the plugin. I am trying to export my 3d logo to AE. But when imported in After effects it only shows a black screen. It also seems that my combined render is not linked. Please help. thanks
how do you install it. i can’t find the video?
I have the same problem as Alex. I tested it using the default cube with a texture added to it. I added the . MGX extension to the object, but when I add teh script to AE all I see is a black screen, the solids directory just contains a white solid 100×100.
