One thing that has confused/bothered me since the day I started video production was that different people use different words (whether correct or not) to describe what seemed to be the same thing. Are you rendering the video or are you exporting it? Are you capturing or digitizing? Is it a Montage or is it a Vignette? or is it a Vignette?… or is it a Vignette? Most of the time we just repeat what we’ve heard. Well, After Effects lingo was no exception, so I figured I’d pass on what I’ve found while looking for the correct meanings for myself.
