It’s been a big month for AEScripts, they have launched a ton of new scripts as well as updating lots of older ones. This script from David Torno lets you extend the head or tail of your script in either a specified amount of frames or seconds.
Using two nulls named accordingly, after running the Trajectory script the layers in your comp will align to the invisible line between the two null objects, and stay in line wherever you move the two nulls around in 3d space. (Don’t worry there’s a demo video that explains it really well).
Similar to the “fit to comp ______” functions in the Layer>Transform menu, this script will select multiple layers and resize them accordingly regardless of the pixel aspect ratios or sizes and fill the comp frame, giving you the choices of cropping or letterboxing.
Ever have your photos come into AE sideways? Isn’t that annoying? Well, now there is a script that will read the metatag in photos that the camera adds to it to rotate it correctly.
This is a pretty sweet little script and damn handy when you need to animate letters or words separately. All you do is run the script on your text layer and pick your appropriate break out settings.
Oh snap! This is exactly what we have needed for a LONG time. Use this dockable UI script to search for text layers to edit them within the box in the UI and change them without having to select the layer and use the type tool.
A very simple script for if you have to write something in backwards. Just write it correctly and run this script and booya! Reversed text!
This script is pretty rad. Instead of having to use the pan behind tool, you can actually use this Dockable UI script to position to the top, bottom, left, right, or corners of the layer.
Brilliant! No more weird expressions and keyframing and all that jazz to loop a layer. Just apply this script and you are good to go!
This is great, especially if you build faux-3d worlds and objects with basic shapes. There are a bunch of different shapes you can make, and each of them have their own demo video so you can learn exactly how to make them.
