Great stuff as always Topher. I don’t know why I bother to scour the internet for tutorials. You always put ‘em up…and always seem to find several I have missed. Thanks!

I hate being one to complain – but i decided to go PLUS about a week ago, and since forkin out (i know its only $9!) I have had nothing worth while from here. I took advantage of the other plus stuff on offer from pstuts and nettuts but where’s the good stuff gone from here?
I know it takes time and effort to make good content, but there is a huge drop in traffic on this site recently, and it seems that the quality of tuts on here has also dropped considerably. I don’t mean to sound ungrateful, i just want to know if this was a worthwhile thing for me to pay for, it certainly doesn’t feel like it right now?

please get something decent on here soon, its not good at all as my main interest is actual AEtuts, but like i said – it’s the one i use least on the Plus site, so where and when will there be some regular and decent aetuts ‘plus’ content!?

    • Ben Morgan says:

By the way, this article was cool! thanks again for rounding up some sweet tuts.

    • Billy says:

I hardly had a hard time believing that. The quality of the tutorials on this site has dropped off drastically from the beginning. To launch the pay side of this site at a time when the tutorials are not only few….but hardly even good…was a curious business decision. $9 a month ain’t much if you are getting a lot for it. If you are a PSD user it seems to be worth it…but if you are paying $9 for only the AE side you are going to be simply getting ripped off.

      • Ben Morgan says:

I have to agree with you mate, I was in two minds about doing it for a while, but luckily there were a few things over on the other tuts sites which pulled me in, but like i said, i feel pretty skanked over here at my main interest. Great After effects tuts are easy to come by for free nowadays online, but i was expecting something of some sort of decent standard when i payed to join this site. i hope their saving something epic for this weeks release….

        ah well

  11. Hans Kleinman says:

Wow, I can’t believe you actually went to all those sites and just listed the tutorials they have. Thanks. Wow. Amazing work, that must have taken a lot of time and effort to type in all those URLs.

    • Topher Welsh says:

Hey mate, sorry if you don’t like the work that I put into my roundups, but others do, and that’s who I do it for. These actually take a lot of time to put together, believe it or not, and it is the best way to keep everyone on the up-n-up on what’s happening off-site from AEtuts+.

We only do them once a month, so check back next and every other friday for my other roundups of inspiration and freebies from around the web! Hope you enjoy your visit, and I hope you learn at least **something** new from this article :)

  12. Diego Delanoe says:

I kind of agree with the comment of Hans K., sometimes there´s many obvious tutorials on your monthly post, too many does n´t strictly means better, and if you try to put a lot of tutorials from around the web every month, you end up with some that are really not worth it, or some other that many already know (who does n´t checks out videocopilot or creative cow tutorials once in a while).
My suggestion, keep doing it, but just post when you have found something really rare, or unknown or spectacular.

  13. Diego Delanoe says:

PD. The Chamaleon Script was already posted in AE Tuts…
