Only 10 Days Left For Our “PFhoe-ly Cow!” Matchmoving Contest!

Here we are almost into May and that means our “PFhoe-ly Cow!” Matchmoving Contest is soon coming to an end. I can tell you that there haven’t been a crazy amount of submissions thus far, so on a personal note… this would be a good one to try your hand at. :) In fact… at this point, I’ve had so few entries, that they’re all winners… all you’d have to do is beat one of them and you could win your own copy of PFtrack. Best of Luck!

spent two hours today figuring out how not to make the text i added in the comp not to shake. the tracking is not perfect in after effect, its shaking. i set my position and anchor point to 0.00. but still same problem. its not working accurately. also have the same fps for both footage and tracking comp.

please HELP! any help with be appreciated.

Try to copy the position of one of the Null objects and paste it to the 3d text layer,
Make sure that the image sequence is at the very beginning of the comp in the timeline.
Make sure the sequences is converted to 24 FPS to match the provided comp (DSC_0068_MOV_E.ma)

thanks for the help but i tried that. how do u converted the sequence to 24fps? i tried doing in after effect by opening the sequence in a new comp and rendering it to 24 fps. that didn’t work thou. please help! thank you very much

In the project window/panel right-click the sequence and choose Interprate Footage and FPS will probabbly be 30fps, so change it 24.

@saad, you need to ‘Time Remap’ The footage so it takes the length of the camera animation. Meaning you need to open up the camera anim comp, and the import the footage into that and then Time Remap it to get the proper length. Hope that helps :)

ok, so the problem was the sequence was not converted properly to 24fps. thanks to Karim Duncan its working now. thanks for your time

It still isn’t that amazing of a track though, even when you interpret it correctly.

(this is coming from the 3DS Max script)

Was the footage undistorted? That is usually the first thing I fix when a track isn’t working properly.
