Exclusive Interview with Aharon Rabinowitz
I was up in NYC recently to go a conference. Finding myself with a few hours to kill in the city, I took a little train ride across town to visit Aharon Rabinowitz. He was kind enough to allow me to shoot some of our conversation to share with you guys. Make sure to check out his website All Bets Are Off Productions to see everything he has to offer!

Great interview. Thanx for that. Actually any interview with interesting people are more usefull than tutorials.
I second that… this is a killer interview Adam… good job, something new to the Tutsplus network..
Yup..as Topher said, its a killer!
Great interview.
Very insightful.
“Information wants to be free”
Loved it!!! Thanks, Adam!
great interview but please stop with the background music, super annoying :/
Great Music!
Thanks for the advice, Aharon. Wisdom from the wise…always a good thing.
Curious about the ‘communisitic’ (sic) reference…if anything, the active participation within the field by the examples you mentioned, not to mention the many others (including myself), is entirely democratic. If we’re all able to access this information to create original works outside of the former requirement to be part of a larger system (i.e. professional broadcasters/studios, etc.), then this is, in effect the means by which we have equal voice and expression. Yes…? No…? The people have seized the means of production, and…oh. I see what you did there. Good one.
I have been learning a lot from Aharon for about 3 years now. He is definitely a staple in my inspiration for this industry. “Shy people get nothing” I guess it’s time for me to leave my basement and start networking. Kind of scary.
Thanks to both Aharon and Adam this was a great interview. Who will you be interviewing in the future?
Great interview, Aharon you rock
For someone who dont have english as their first language, the music was alittle distracting, and i had to “rewind” a frew times, to make out what was said because the music clouded the speach.. dunno.. just a suggestion to lower the music volume for future interviews
I’ve watched every one of Aharons tutorials. His were the first. I didn’t even begin to watch any others until I had finished watching all of his. If I ever get good at this he will be to blame.
I ran into him once on the streets of NY. Apparently his studio is in the same neighborhood where I use to live. He was with his wife and new baby and seemed genuinely flabbergasted that someone would recognize him from his videos. Very gracious.
Great guy, great interview, great work, thanks.
Sharing…..awesome!……Corny as it sounds… it will change the world for the better.
Great interview
Sorry about the music, I didn’t think it was that loud… but alas, I guess it was distracting. My intention was to help the video flow a little and distract from the poor audio quality that came from the little camera I was using. Anyways, I took the interview music out as requested.
Nice interview. Inspirational and good to hear that the guys at the top really respect the sharing of knowledge. It makes it easier to aspire to want to get there knowing that i will be in good company. Thanks guys. I think I will be posting this on my blog as well ( http://lostringsattached.com/ ).
Hmmm… Interesting idea about not holding the secrets. Maybe I will be posting a tut sometime then? Maybe…
Very interesting Interview. A nice new feature for the Ae tuts+ site. Thanks to Aharon and Adam for this.
God, turn off the computers in the background! Those fans are annoying!
Ahraron is really a great tutorial guy, and a great guy in general. I sent him an email asking him a question, and was really surprised he responded, as most people wouldn’t even bother. I think it’s great that he did, and sharing knowledge is really a good thing to do.
Good stuff Adam, and nice of Aharon to do this for AETUTS
Turn off music, turn off computers, turn off overall sound and put subtitles instead … what?
c’mon people i’d be turned on for this interview even if it had been recorded in the middle of time square traffic.
lots of people in this world make just noise when talking.
this interview, it’s just all about the right message.

I didn’t even noticed the computers and the music.
I was very much focused on the interview and I am very grateful that these awesome guys
want to share their information with us.
I think it’s really interesting that sharing your information with others can help you further in what you do, very insightful, thanks!
If it wasn’t for you guys, also referring to andrew kramer, Nick Campbell etc, I’d probably
wasn’t as motivated as I am now.
